Subrata Roy's Sahara India contribution in Force India Formula One in India

Sahara India Pariwar is an eminent India based company which has been founded by Subrata Roy Sahara. This company has varied business interest that includes Consumer products, Media and Entertainment, Housing and Real Estate, Healthcare, Services & Trading Finance, Mutual Fund, Insurance, and many others. As we know that Sahara India Pariwar has been promoting many sports in India and recently he promoted Force India Formula one. Under the co ownership with Vijay Mallya, Chairman of UB Group, Sahara India Pariwar has made some equity investment into the only Formula one team of the country, Force One India.
Subrata Roy Sahara has 42.5 percent stake in Force India with an investment of approximately $100 million in the team. Dr. Vijay Mallya has an equal 42.5 percent share, with remaining 15 percent equity is with the Mol family. Since the establishment of the team Sahara Force India in 2008, the team has steadily made its way up by achieving the best result of sixth in the championship that was held in October, 2011. Sahara Force India Formula One Team has some of the efficient drivers that include Paul Di Resta, Jules Bianchi and Nico Hulkenberg.
Sahara India Pariwar hopes that its partnership with Force India is expected to provide an opportunity for the team to further invest in high end technology to improve their performance.
