Sahara India felicitated India champion shooters for their performances at ISSF world shooting championship

Sahara India is one of the leading Indian company which works in different field like life insurance, mutual funds, infrastructure and housing, social work, entertainment and media, city development, real estate, health care, tourism, consumer products, hospitality and many others. Sahara group has successfully promoted the sports in India. Due to its emotional commitment towards the development of sports in India Sahara India felicitated Indian champion shooters Ms. Tejaswini Sawant, Mr. Asher Noria and Mr. Gagan Narang for bringing fame to India at 50th International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) world shooting championship which was held in Munich. They were felicitated for winning medals at that sports event.

The grand felicitation ceremony was held by Sahara Group at Sahara Shaher Lucknow. On the event, Sahara Group gave appreciation certificates as well as incentive of Rs. 5 Lac to Ms. Tejaswini Sawant and Mr. Gagan Narang and Rs. 3 Lac to Mr. Asher Noria for their excellent performances in that sport event.

At ISSF world shooting championship which was held at Munich, Ms. Tejaswini Sawant won Gold medal in the 50 meter rifle prone sport, Mr. Gagan Narang won bronze medal in the 10 meter air rifle sport and Mr. Asher Noria won gold medal in the men’s junior double trap sport. After this championship, Mr. Gagan Narang was declared to be the first Indian for the 2012 London Olympics.

With the help of National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), Sahara India had found 15 shooters including many upcoming ones who will be trained and well supported till the coming Olympics that are going to held in London in 2012. It is a great support by Sahara Group for the development of sports in India. By doing so they will be able to relieve the financial problems of athletes and as consequence they will be able to concentrate on their sport more and will be able to perform better in future games. The potential of the shooters and upcoming shooter will be improve.

We hope that this long term support by Sahara group to Indian sport would surely provide better results in forthcoming Olympics games.” Sahara Group has already adopted many Indian sports like boxing, wrestling and Archery, but after the ISSF world shooting championship it has also adopted Indian shooting.
