Sahara unveiled the logo of its Pune IPL franchise in a glittering ceremony

Sahara India Pariwar is admired for being the prime promoter and patron of sports in India. It is the owner of Pune IPL franchisee and unveiled the name and logo of the Pune IPL team in a grand ceremony at the expansive S.P. College Ground, Pune. The Sahara Group named its IPL team, ‘Sahara Pune Warriors’. A huge crowd of enthusiastic people witnessed the unveiling of the logo identity of the team.

The ‘Sahara Pune Warriors’ logo comprises of a spear wielding, attacking cavalry-warrior in the hue of tricolor. The logo was launched in the presence of some popular names from cricket fraternity and Bollywood. On this occasion, ‘Saharasri’ Subrata Roy Sahara, Chairman of Sahara India Pariwar also announced four welfare schemes for the people of the Pune. Sahara will provide Public Health Services through eight Mobile Health Unit vans in the rural areas of Pune district. Each van will have a qualified doctor and will be equipped with primary health equipments and medicines. Sahara will provide accident cover to the voters of Pune Lok Sabha constituency. Sahara will provide Rupees One lakh as financial assistance to the nominee from the family of the deceased in case of an accidental death of any individual.

Sahara has also announced financial support for the promising sportspersons of Pune District. The sportspersons playing at the state level, national level and international level will be given Rs 5000, Rs. 10000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively per month. Sahara also announced to give scholarships to the meritorious students of Pune district. Under this scheme, 300 students at the graduation level will be selected and each student will be provided a monthly scholarship of Rs. 750 per month. At the post graduation level, 200 students will be selected and each student will be provided a monthly scholarship of Rs 1500.

Sahara group is the sponsor of Indian Cricket, Hockey, Indian Boxing, Wrestling, Shooting and Archery. The group had the dream to uplift sports at domestic and grass root level so it supported the legendary Calcutta Football League, Sheesh Mahal Cricket Tournament and many other sports at the national, state and district levels. Sahara had started ‘The Sahara Indian Sports Awards’ to bring together all sports on a common platform. This will assist in recognizing and honoring the achievements of Indian sportspersons. The awards are aimed to encourage the young sporting talents and motivate them to bring laurels to the nation and sports. Subrata Roy Sahara took great pleasure to present the identity of the Pune IPL team to the people of Pune and the cricketing enthusiasts across the world.
